Cooking Classes with Chef Robert

Chef Robert Villanueva is a graduate of San Francisco Culinary Academy, trained in French Cuisine. Over the years, Chef Robert has traveled the world developing skills using global spices and culinary techniques. Prior to being Executive Chef at Roux Creole Cuisine, Chef Robert was executive chef for Seven Degrees, responsible for developing menus for Laguna Beach’s most prestigious gala events. 

Roux Creole Cuisine is excited to offer cooking classes with Chef Robert once a month on Saturdays, noon to 2:30pm. Classes include an introduction to the 11 spices that create a Creole spice mix, how to make a perfect roux, knife skills, building complex flavors, how to prepare a meal menu, general Q&A, lunch, wine and lively conversation. Chef Robert's friendly personality and natural teaching style makes for a fun and informative experience to share with family, friends or company team members. Classes are $100 per person. 

 Drop-ins welcome, reservations preferred. Please email rouxlb@rouxlaguna.com to reserve. 

If you have a party of six or more, we will schedule a Saturday and menu of your choice. Maximum class size is eight. 

Classes are held at Roux Creole Cuisine, 860 Glenneyre St., Laguna Beach, CA 92651. 949-715-3707. Free parking in the Citizens Bank parking lot next door.
